Rhiannon K. Thoreson

Attorney | Advocate

My practice is built on a simple belief: skilled legal representation is one of the most powerful tools available to those who have been harmed, and they deserve the best of it.

I represent survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and other harms, helping them assert their constitutional and statutory rights through civil litigation. After spending most of my career on the defense side of civil litigation, I made a deliberate choice to put those same skills, including deep legal research and writing, strategic case analysis, and trial experience, fully in service of the people who need them most.

Although based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, I serve clients throughout the state.

Practice Areas

My litigation background spans tort, Section 1983, Title IX, contract, employment, and construction defect claims, from intake through trial. I’ve built my career on genuine breadth rather than narrow specialization — handling municipal law, competitive bidding disputes, appellate work, and trial preparation, often simultaneously, so I can step into a matter and contribute meaningfully from day one.

I serve as Of Counsel with Mitchell Legal PLLC, handling complex business, construction, and real estate disputes. I also serve as City Attorney for the City of Beggs, advising on governance, liability, public contracts, and employment matters, and can assist other governmental entities seeking experienced outside counsel for governmental liability, civil rights compliance, contract review, or general advisory work.

What Sets My Work Apart

Research and writing are the foundation of everything I do. In litigation, so much ultimately comes down to the brief, and I write precisely, persuasively, and accurately, across a wide range of subject matter, under real deadline pressure.
